New Zealand has oil wells in Taranaki, and I am told in the north, that were sunk some years ago and capped off. The excuse as to why can’t we start producing their oil? - It was too expensive.

Well folks the price of oil has enabled the vast oil sands of Alaska, that were idle for years, to become a profitable proposition to recover the oil from that sand. Now the area is a hive of activity with some really major equipment working round the clock. That product is earning serious income for that country.

Again I believe our governments are the reason we are not producing oil.

A new oil field was discovered last year within N.Z.Waters, estimated to have the potential of being the third largest producer world wide.

In Saudi Arabia they sell oil products ie., Diesel, Petrol for TEN CENTS A LITRE at the pump. Yet we have to pay $1.80 NZ per litre at the pump.

Why? because the world has allowed the OPEC countries to auction a neccessity product to the highest bidder, China, She has an ever increasing demand for oil and coal, she gets it at a cost that is crippling the economies of countries around the world.

THIS MADDNESS CANNOT GO ON UNCHECKED, OUR ECONOMIES CANNOT STAND IT. INFLATIONARY TENDENCIES ARE SUPPOSED TO BE CHECKED BY THE RESERVE BANK AND THE GOVERNMENT. if you want to start spending up large they bring in proceedures to curb the spending, because it is inflationary.

However, the Government seems to be allowed to keep increasing it’s spending at will

JUST IMAGINE:

IF NZ BECAME AN OIL PRODUCER, FUEL AT THE PUMP TEN OR EVEN TWENTY  CENTS A LITRE. THE COST OF ALL TRANSPORTED PRODUCE AND MANUFACTURED ITEMS WOULD COME DOWN WITH A THUMP. THE COST OF MANUFACTURING DOWN. ALL PRODUCTS TODAY ARE AFFECTED BY OIL OR IT’S BY PRODUCTS, FROM PRINTING TO CONSTRUCTION, AGRICULTURE TO ROADING, HOUSING TO CLOATHING, ETC.,

THERE IS NOT ONE SINGLE PRODUCT THAT DOES NOT HAVE OIL OR A DERIVITIVE OF OIL USED IN THE GROWING OR PRODUCTION OF IT. TOBACCO, PAINT, PAPER, TIMBER, PLASTICS, SOAPS, HOUSEHOLD CLEANERS, SHAMPOOS, SCENTS, JEWELLERY, JUST TO NAME A FEW.

CAN YOU NOW SEE WHY WE NEED TO HAVE A DEMOCRATIC GOVERNMENT, WHERE YOU ARE RULED BY THE MAJORITY  VOTE.

Government Referendums:

BINDING REFERENDUMS MUST COME, BECAUSE IT IS THE ONLY SENSIBLE WAY TO CONTROL POLITICIANS AND SAFE GUARD OUR SELVES AGAINST THE STUPIDITY OF M.P’S. WHO SPEND TOO MUCH TIME SLINGING OFF AT ONE OTHER. THE GAUL OF IT, THEY GET A FAR GREATER SALARY THAN THEY ARE REALLY WORTH, PLUS A FANTASTIC PENSION AFTER NINE YEARS IN PARLIAMENT, PLUS GOOD TRAVEL ALLOWANCES, AND THERE ARE OTHER PERKS WE HAVE NOT BEEN MADE FULLY AWARE OF YET.

THE GOVERNMENT MUST SAY ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, WE ARE ONE NATION. AND WE WILL ALL BE TREATED AS ONE NATION, OTHERWISE, NEXT THE ASIANS WILL WANT TO BE DIFFERENT AND THE SOUTH AFRICANS ETC., WHERE WILL IT STOP? RIGHT HERE AND NOW, IT HAS TOO!!!
